Regular Appliance Updates:
The Appliance consists of a number of components, the primary component of which is the Scan Engine.
The Scan Engine is responsible for establishing connections to targets in configured jobs scopes, gathering their data, and building the result graph processed by the cloud services.
Appliances get regular updates for the scan engine service. These updates are notified at the Illuminate 360 Portal Web UI itself and users can upgrade them using the CloudSphere UI.

Special Appliance Updates:
In certain special cases where services other than the scan engine have also been updated, we release a new appliance. Users are recommended to replace their current appliance with the latest available appliance.
Note: In case you are unable to replace the older appliance with the latest one,
you still can upgrade the services of the old appliance.
